Research Environment
Work at the interface of molecular basic research and clinical cardiology ā embedded in one of Europeās leading university hospitals with direct access to clinical samples and translational research questions.
Methods & Equipment
Access a broad range of technologies: from iPSC-cardiomyocytes and phosphoproteomics to confocal microscopy and patch-clamp, as well as cardiac mouse phenotyping with echocardiography and PV-loop measurements.
International Network
Benefit from established collaborations with leading cardiovascular research groups in Germany and the USA ā including UT Southwestern (Dallas) and other DZHK partners.

Heidelberg offers a unique combination of academic excellence, high quality of life, and one of the densest biomedical research networks in Germany (EMBL, DKFZ, ZMBH, BioQuant).
